Buying a Luxury Watch? Don't make this expensive mistake

Never pay full retail price at the store or boutique.
When you get the call, it sounds exciting… until you realize what's about to happen..
You walk out smiling, wrist glistening with your brand-new Rolex, Breitling, Omega, Panerai, Cartier, etc.. But the truth is:
That watch just lost 40–50% of its value. Instantly.
Not like cars which will depreciate slowly over time.
In the watch world, retail price is the peak, then it’s all downhill from there. With the exception of the top ~10% of Rolex, Patek, & AP which do appreciate.
This is why I always say:
Buy pre-owned. Every time.
When you buy right, you get:
Much more value for your money
Access to rare or discontinued models
Lower downside, and even upside potential
A smarter, more sustainable collection strategy
Please know, not all pre-owned deals are the same.
The market is flooded with scams, fakes, and overpriced listings on eBay, Chrono24, Forums, & Facebook groups.
So here's the #1 way to protect your purchase:
Don’t buy the watch. Buy the seller.
Are they public and transparent?
Can you find them on LinkedIn or Google?
Will they video chat with you?
Do they have a reputation to protect?
Because you’re not just buying a timepiece, you’re trusting someone with your hard earned money.
If you ever need a gut check on a seller or deal you're considering, I’m always happy to share insight to help you made educated decisions.
Please don’t learn the hard way.
Enjoy responsibly.
